Alternative to suturing reduces surgical time for dental procedures

Suturing is a common technique in the field of dental medicine, particularly after surgical incisions and dental extractions. However, suturing is not without its disadvantages. A cyanoacrylate material developed in the last few decades that has had recent changes in its formulation to make it even stronger is a product known as n-2-butyl cyanoacrylate glue. This liquid monomer polymerizes on contact with aqueous-containing substances, such as blood, and becomes sticky. Known as "superglue for soft tissue," this is what I use instead of sutures for dental surgeries in my practice.
