:: Thin-film photovoltaics market poised for growth
Glen Allen, VA--The global thin-film photovoltaics (TFPV) market is forecast to reach $7.2 billion by 2015, compared to just over $1.0 billion today, according to a new report from NanoMarkets LC. The market is being driven by the inherent advantages of TFPV including low cost, low weight, and the ability to manufacture them on flexible substrates and embed solar power capabilities into walls, roofs, and even windows.

:: Plasma display revenue to peak in 2008
El Segundo, CA--According to market analysis firm iSuppli, plasma display panel (PDP) manufacturers are finding it increasingly difficult to keep pace with liquid crystal displays (LCDs) in the consumer and business markets. Although falling average selling prices are enabling PDPs to enjoy a growth phase, this period of growth will be short lived, with those same price declines causing market revenue to begin falling in 2009 following a peak in 2008.
