Strategies Unlimited forecasts LED revenue growth of nearly 10% in 2011
 Falling LED prices and a reduced demand for LED-backlit TVs will result in a slower growth rate for LED revenues this year compared with 2010, according to Strategies Unlimited.
PennWell acquires The LED Show, plans 2012 event in Las Vegas
 PennWell Corp. has acquired the assets of The LED Show conference and exhibition from James Highgate and will hold the event next July 30 – August 1 in Las Vegas, NV.
Acquisitions: Osram ups its stake in Encelium Technologies, Acuity buys Pathway
 Acuity Brands has acquired Pathway Connectivity, a specialist in lighting networks and control, while Osram Sylvania increased its prior investment in software company Encelium Technologies.
Lextar Electronics goes public on the Taiwan Stock Exchange
 Vertically-integrated LED manufacturer based in Hsinchu, Taiwan goes public after growing to USD 255 million in revenue for 2010.

SIL Europe news: LED market, Lemnis and Ikea, Zhaga and IEC standards
At the recent Strategies in Light Europe conference, Strategies Unlimited provided its latest market update, Lemnis Lighting discussed a deal to supply LED lamps to Ikea, Zhaga introduced light-engine standards and unveiled its logo, and the IEC introduced two key performance standards.  The second day of Strategies in Light Europe featured a full, active conference program and 900 registered attendees from the solid-state lighting industry.
Strategies in Light Europe 2011 opens with well-attended Keynote session
 Strategies in Light Europe opened today with workshops, the SSL Investor Forum, and a Keynote session that attracted more than 300 attendees.
