Cree has signed an agreement to increase in its manufacturing presence in Huizhou, China, with its first overseas chip facility.

PolyBrite International announces greener results in Borealis LED streetlight testing
 Installation of Borealis LED streetlights has saved the City of Naperville, Illinois, up to 60% in energy usage for each of the four months of usage. The city’s Department of Public Works is monitoring seven 120W Borealis LED streetlights with a like number of 350W HPS lights.

Australia’s largest retailer, and the nation's 2nd biggest employer, is turning to LEDs as it rolls out its new image across 780 outlets in Australia and New Zealand.
