CENX takes tips from MEF, opens Carrier Ethernet exchanges
By Stephen Hardy -- Acting on the conclusions reached by the Metro Ethernet Forum’s (MEF’s) Ethernet Exchange Committee, MEF executives have launched CENX, a private company that aims to make carrier-to-carrier interconnection of Carrier Ethernet services comparatively easy and economical by establishing Carrier Ethernet Neutral Exchanges through which carriers can interconnect and buy and sell Carrier Ethernet capacity.
EXFO adds bidirectional RFC 2544 capability to AXS-200/850 Ethernet test set
EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. has released a new software suite that provides bidirectional RFC 2544 enhanced functionalities on the AXS-200/850 Ethernet Test Set, a handheld performance assessment tool designed to simplify the installation, activation, and maintenance of Ethernet networks and services.
USDA Rural Development Telecommunications Program accepts more ADC fiber products
ADC says its OmniReach Hub-in-a-Pedestal (HIP) fiber distribution hub, OmniReach Passive Optical Splitter Modules, Fiber Cable Assemblies, and Value-added Module VAM system have been accepted by the USDA Rural Development Telecommunications program.
