:: Libra-1 well strikes gas
The Libra-1 exploration well in permit AC/P41 in the Browse basin, offshore Western Australia, has encountered gas in a series of thick sand packages over a vertical section in excess of 180 m (591 ft) gross, according to Nexus Energy.

:: Song Doc field achieves oil
The Song Doc field in block 46/02 offshore Vietnam has achieved first oil, according to Talisman Energy.

:: ONGC strikes oil with G-4-6 well
ONGC has struck oil with the G-4-6 well at a water depth of 225 m (738 ft).

:: REGIONAL UPDATE
:: New Zealand opens Raukumara and Northland basins bidding
New Zealand's Energy and Resources Minister Gerry Brownlee has announced the opening of bidding for new petroleum exploration permits across two large offshore areas, the Raukumara (East Cape) and Northland basins.

:: Zhao Dong block sees production increase
Oil production from the Zhao Dong block, Bohai Bay, offshore China averaged over 30,000 b/d of oil for the second half of November, according to Roc Oil (Bohai) Co.

:: BHP Billiton OKs Western Australia redevelopment
BHP Billiton has approved the North West Shelf Cossack, Wanaea, Lambert, Hermes (CWLH) redevelopment project.

:: Petrojack IV bound for Thailand
Petrojack IV, the fourth deep-drilling offshore jackup rig contracted to the Jurong Shipyard by PetroJack, is on track for deployment offshore Thailand following its completion by the yard.

:: Ocean HeavyLift takes delivery of HeavyLift Hawk
Ocean HeavyLift has taken delivery of the vessel HeavyLift Hawk from Songa Ancora after conversion at Huarun Dadong Dockyard in China.

:: SBM signs Cossack FPSO contract
SBM Offshore has signed a full scope turnkey supply contract for a disconnectable FPSO for Woodside Energy and the Cossack Wanaea Lambert Hermes (CWLH) Joint Venture.

:: CONTRACTS
:: Jurong Shipyard awarded MODEC FPSO conversion contract
MODEC has awarded Jurong Shipyard a $133 million contract to convert the VLCC tanker PSVM (ex Bourgogne), to an FPSO.

:: Aker signs MA-D6 subsea development change order
Aker Installation FP has signed a $235 million change order to an existing contract with Reliance Industries for transportation, installation, and commissioning of the MA-D6 subsea development (Phase 2), including gas export system and production wells.

:: Keppel scores multiple contracts
Keppel Offshore & Marine has secured $231 million dollars' worth of contracts through its subsidiaries for the conversion of an FSO, the construction of an internal turret, the refurbishment and outfitting of a semisubmersible multi-service vessel as well as the fabrication, installation and integration of topside process modules for an FPSO.
