:: Hornbeck to acquire Sea Mar fleet
Hornbeck Offshore Services Inc. has a definitive asset purchase agreement with affiliates of Nabors Industries Ltd. to acquire 20 offshore supply vessels (OSVs) and their related business, the Sea Mar fleet.

Halliburton has entered into an agreement with OOO Burservice to acquire the company, pending regulatory approvals.

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. has awarded Technip and the National Petroleum Construction Co. a $370-million EPC contract for Zakum gas processing facilities.

:: Petrobras extends Subsea 7 vessel contract
Petrobras has extended its contract with Subsea 7 Inc. covering engineering, fabrication, and installation of both rigid and flexible pipelines on the Brazilian continental shelf to 2010.

:: ISS to support Bibby DSVs
Integrated Subsea Services is providing diving and ROV support to Bibby Offshore under a contract potentially worth up to $820 million.

:: SapuraCrest subsea contract extended
ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Malaysia Inc. has extended the contract for SapuraCrest Petroleum Bhd. to continue working on the Tapis, Guntong, and Jerneh fields, 200 km (124 mi) off the east coast of peninsular Malaysia.

:: Keppel clinches specialized ship contracts
Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd. subsidiary Keppel Singmarine Pte. Ltd. has secured four contracts totaling $230 million to build six offshore support vessels (OSV) and a derrick pipelay vessel.

:: Global Industries to build new vessel
Global Industries Ltd. has approved construction of a $240-million dynamically positioned combination derrick/pipelay vessel.

:: ASL to build five vessels for European clients
ASL Marine Holdings Ltd. has won contracts totaling $67.8 million to build a DP-2 subsea operation vessel, two rotor tugs, and two self-propelled split hopper barges for European clients.

:: Aramco, Schlumberger to develop intelligent completions
Saudi Aramco and Schlumberger have agreed on joint development of new intelligent completions leading to electrically activated downhole control valves, and, therefore, a theoretically unlimited number of intelligent laterals per well.

Industrial Nanotech Inc. has developed a thermally insulating, corrosion resistant coating for use on subsea oil and gas pipelines.
